New Attractions For 2022

There's one thing for sure about Blackpool: the fun never stops. As a resort, we are continuously growing, expanding into new markets and offering new experiences for families to enjoy.

Without a doubt, there is already lots to do in '22, but there are some exciting new attractions on the horizon that will lead to amazing adventures you will never forget. Take a look to see what's coming up.

Peter Rabbit

Merlin Entertainments have announced that the beloved characters from the award-winning PETER RABBIT™ animated TV series are set to make a new home on Blackpool’s Golden Mile in 2022.

The £1m attraction is set to open next door to the famous Madame Tussauds Blackpool as part of a new standalone visitor experience.
Visitors will hop into the over-sized world of Peter and his friends to embark on an adventure across five fluffytailed themed zones. Guests will need to think like a rabbit, move like a rabbit and deploy rabbit-like senses with a whole burrow-full of creativity in order to complete the challenges and earn badges – seeing if they have the skills to join the secret treehouse club!

Guests will also be able to meet, greet and ‘high-paw’ Peter himself – making the experience a bumper bunny day out! The attraction, which is due to open in Spring 2022, will join Merlin’s portfolio of six other attractions in Blackpool including The Blackpool Tower and SEA LIFE Blackpool.

Blackpool Pleasure Beach

It’s been voted the ‘Best Water Ride in the World’ for an amazing six consecutive years in the global Golden Ticket Awards and now Valhalla at Blackpool Pleasure Beach is even better. Brave the adventure as you travel through fantastic special effects and extreme elements like no other ride.

This high speed, dark water ride takes you on a journey through scenes of fire, snow, and freezing mists whilst you travel in Viking long boats on this six minute journey complemented by a new stunning soundtrack to complete this multi-sensory experience.

A new update for ICON

The UK’s first and only double-launch rollercoaster at Blackpool Pleasure Beach has been twisted! ICON’s rear seats have been adapted to spin and twist freely during the ride’s thrilling duration. The exhilarating high-speed accelerations, electrifying twists and turns, and heart-stopping interactions have been tune up a notch by ENSO – named after the sacred symbol in Zen Buddhism meaning ‘circle’ or ‘circle of togetherness’.

Prepare for your on-ride experience to be turned upside down.

Hot Ice

It’s the epitome of cool sophistication – and also one of the hottest tickets in town! Hot Ice returns to the Pleasure Beach Arena in July with Rapture, a brand new production for the 2022 season.

Expect glamour, feathers, spine-tingling music and spectacular choreography performed by a star-studded cast of international ice-skating champions.
