Our annual Lightpool Festival wouldn’t be the same without a generous helping of the live entertainment that Blackpool is famous for and is guaranteed to blow your imagination – it’s all for free, too!
Prepare to be amazed by a selection of gripping performances – from the carnival magic of Global Grooves, an explosion of dance, music and colour, to the iconic illuminated tram parade to celebrate the meaning of light and Blackpool’s glorious history. Plus, why not stop by and embrace the finale of the annual World Fireworks Championship Blackpool? It’s going to be a blast!

Carnival Magic– Monday 24 October
Location: The Blackpool Tower Ballroom - Tickets sold out
An exhilarating menagerie of illuminated carnival characters will hit The Blackpool Tower Ballroom for an electrifying static showcase of music, puppetry and dance.
The internationally-renowned performers will present a showstopper for more than 30 minutes, bringing a diverse melting pot of carnival magic. From giant hand-crafted puppets to stunning illuminated dancers, there will be something for all the family.

DRUMMING ROBOTS! Programmed to entertain, our illuminated drumming robots will wow any crowd. Performing alongside giant digital puppets, this entertaining street act will push you to party like it’s 2099.
GIANT PUPPETS! Gasp and wonder at our handcrafted puppets as they dance to the beats of our Carnival Band. Our incredible puppets make their way to the Ballroom after their royal debut as part of the Queen's Jubilee Pageant. If it’s good enough for Blackpool then it's good enough for the Queen.
CARNIVAL MAGIC! A 30-piece carnival band will spring to life and fill the stage with beautiful dancers in giant illuminated dresses, accompanied by stilt walkers and red-hot carnival drummers from Katumba drumming and movement group.
THE GRAND FINALE! The show finale will crescendo with a full cast presentation of all puppets and performers, encouraging audiences to take to the dance floor and boogie to our Global Grooves with friends old and new.

Illuminated Tram Parade Featuring Spark! – Thursday 27 October
Location: Central Promenade
Back by popular demand, Spark! by Worldbeaters Music return to Blackpool to help us celebrate Lightpool Festival.
For one night only, visitors will be able to watch headline LED drummers Spark!, a unique and thrilling show that combines high-impact drumming, superb choreography and stunning lighting design. The show will also showcase the illuminated tram parade, featuring the battleship HMS Blackpool, the Fisherman’s Friend Trawler and the lottery-funded Great Western Train.
Illuminated giant puppets, Lumidogs, and performers will also be joining the parade, adding a wow factor and showcasing content never seen before by audiences in Blackpool.
The trams will leave from outside Blackpool Pleasure Beach at around 5.15pm and will be joined at Central Pier by the rest of the procession for what promises to be a truly magical Illuminations experience. The parade will visibly slow as it approaches The Blackpool Tower to give spectators an unmissable photo and video opportunity.
Why not stay for the Tower Projections and Light Art Trail after the parade? Don't forget the third round of the World Fireworks Championship Blackpool takes place at 8.30pm so there's plenty to see and do before you call it a night!
Tickets for the trams have sold out. However, the Illuminated Tram Parade is free to attend. Simply take your place along the promenade, particularly between Central Pier and The Blackpool Tower to watch the spectacle.

World Fireworks Championship Blackpool – Thursday 27 October and Friday 28 October
Location: Tower Festival Headland – approximate firing time 8:30pm
Two spectacular firework displays will light up the skies during Lightpool Festival.
Extend the evening fun after the mesmeric Illuminated Tram Parade on Thursday 27 October and take your place along the promenade to watch Finland compete in the World Fireworks Championship Blackpool, sponsored by Coral Island. Titanium Fireworks will then conclude the contest on Friday 28 October and announce the winner of the Championship.
