Carnival of the Lights - October 25, Blackpool Promenade
Last year’s hugely-successful illuminated tram parade returns as part of a dazzling Carnival Of The Lights on the night of October 25.
To celebrate Blackpool’s unique tramway history, this Parade is a tribute to the rich heritage of our Illuminated Trams. It presents a unique opportunity to witness Blackpool’s historic collection of illuminated tramcars featuring a battleship, trawler and Great Western train, travelling in convoy along the seafront joined by a procession of illuminated vehicles, costumer characters. Combining talented artists who will entertain audiences young and old alike, with an inspiring and engaging procession of performers and community groups from the local area.
The Tram Parade leaves The Pleasure Beach at 5.45pm, arriving at Central Pier at approximately 6pm to be joined by the entertainment procession. Proceeding to the Tower, a celebratory special performance will be performed on the comedy carpet, from renowned LED drummers Spark, alongside the talents of Skool of Street. Mare sure you bring your camera!
Spark! street theatre show is a magical live music, movement and lighting spectacular in which mysterious characters composed of light and sound transform the landscape around them and captivate their audience. Combining high impact drumming, dynamic choreography, playful characters and colourful lighting design.
Please note, all the trams are now booked up.
