- Saturday 1 October
- Saturday 15 October
- NEW DATE: Friday 28 October
All displays are subject to suitable weather conditions. Details of this year’s competing countries and firing times will be announced over the coming months. Please check back for more information.
Due to the popularity of the World Fireworks Championship Blackpool, there may be traffic delays arriving and leaving the event. Take extra time to arrive and we would recommend if travelling by car to park in the southern car parks and use the tramway to travel to the event. Alternative public transport via the rail systems and buses are also recommended.
Coral Island, the seafront family entertainment centre, will sponsor the three World Fireworks Championship Blackpool events – and also a new UK showcase display in October half-term. The fireworks event are just a stone's throw away from Blackpool's largest amusement arcade.
If travelling to the event by car, we strongly advise parking up early. Most central car parks are usually full a couple of hours before the event kicks off and roads become heavily congested. For a full list of Council-owned car parks, please click here.
We look forward to seeing you at the World Fireworks Championship Blackpool 2022 for what promises to be a series of dazzling pyrotechnical displays.
Safety Note: Please be aware that tramway and Promenade roadway are both open and operational, so please ensure you stay a safe distance from the tramway and road and cross safely at the crossings.
