Blackpool is boasting a cracking selection of shows and visitor attractions this spring, complemented by great and affordable accommodation, and a variety of independent cafes, bars and restaurants.

You’ll be hard-pressed fitting all your plans in one holiday with the extensive selection of attractions on offer. Plus, remember there is nothing quite like strolling along our seafront in the spring sunshine with an ice cream in hand. Without further ado, here's a list of special things do in Blackpool to make this spring one to remember.
Twilight Thrills

Twilight Thrills at Pleasure Beach Resort

On Saturday 23 May, Pleasure Beach Resort will be bringing back its Twilight Thrills, offering 11 hours of adrenaline-fuelled fun, live entertainment, spectacular shows and feel-good music.

Choose high octane thrills from the iconic Big One, double launch roller coaster, ICON, the recently re-imagined Valhalla, or take a nostalgic ride on everyone's favourite woodies, the Big Dipper and the Grand National.

We are eagerly awaiting the official launch of the park’s newest attraction, Aviktas. This 40-seater spinning pendulum ride stands at 88 feet and swings to a staggering height of 138 feet. 

If big thrills aren’t for you, check out the UK’s only Nickelodeon Land, featuring 12 amazing rides and a whole host of Nickelodeon characters from the world’s number one kids’ entertainment channel.

See a Monet masterpiece at Grundy Art Gallery
28 March - 13 June - free admission

For the first time ever, a Claude Monet masterpiece has come to the North West. Experience Monet’s breath-taking The Petit Bras of the Seine at Argenteuil (1872) in person at Blackpool’s Grundy Art Gallery from 28 March - 13 June.

Chosen as one of only four host venues for The National Gallery’s nationwide tour, the Grundy now proudly displays the 1872 masterpiece - an artwork that has only left London once in the last two decades.

See the next big blockbuster at The Arc Cinema

Get the popcorn ready! Located in the extension of the Houndshill Shopping Centre, the cinema features one of the largest IMAX screens in the North West, measuring a massive 10.85m high and 19.87m wide.

Enjoy a belly laugh at The Blackpool Tower Circus

Join Mooky and Mr Boo as they deliver their slapstick antics in a brand-new show for the 2026 season. Produced and directed by the Endresz family at one of the most iconic circus venues in the world, the show promises visitors a host of all-new jaw-dropping performances and never-before-seen acts in The Blackpool Tower Circus.

Meet your furry friends at Blackpool Zoo

Visitors can take advantage of the Easter holidays to catch up with their favourite animals, including the fully integrated herd of Asian elephants (look out for the baby!), the four members of the red panda family, the orang-utans, the sea lions and many more at Blackpool Zoo.

Zog Gruffalo
Zog’s Dragon School Adventure

Got any little dragon fans in the house? This Easter, they can actually join Dragon School and graduate at The Gruffalo & Friends Clubhouse!

The attraction is running a Zog-themed event that kicks off with a high-energy live show, perfect for burning off some steam and getting stuck in. After that, it’s mission time: they need your mini-explorers to head into the play zones for a Dragon Hunt. They’ll be looking for Zog and the rest of the class to collect letters and crack a mystery word.

Burn off some energy at Wild Shore Blackpool

A relatively new addition to Blackpool's attraction scene, Wild Shore Blackpool is a water-based adventure hub, offering a number of unique, dynamic and adrenaline-charged outdoor activities.

Located at the former Blackpool Wake Park site, just outside Blackpool at Ream Hills Holiday Park, take your pick from the heart-pumping Aqua Park, wakeboarding, stand-up paddle-boarding or open water swimming.

See Blackpool's dazzling Mirror Ball

Miss the Illuminations? You can still get your fix. Did you know that Blackpool’s iconic Mirror Ball – reputed to be the largest in the world – is shining bright at night? Using 75% less power than before, six new projectors were installed, allowing spectators to see the twinkling landmark lit up at night in a colour-changing light show extravaganza.

The revolving artwork, featuring 47,000 mirrors, is a permanent fixture on the resort's South Promenade.
