Pantomimes are going ahead this Christmas? Oh yes they are! It’s not Christmas without a festive-filled show, which is why we’re delighted to see the curtain rise in all our established Blackpool venues to give us a sprinkling of joyful magic from the stage.
Laugh this year’s blues away and leave in a merry mood as you experience the true escapism of the theatre. Here’s a list of all the Christmas pantomimes and shows set to take place in Blackpool in the coming months.

2 December – 1 January, 2023, at Blackpool Grand Theatre
In a tale as old as time, don't miss the spellbinding story of Sleeping Beauty at Blackpool Grand Theatre. Featuring Dancing On Ice Champion Hayley Tamaddon as Good Fairy, Comic and Britain’s Got Talent Finalist Steve Royle as Silly Billy, and dame extraordinaire Philip Meeks as the one and only Nursie, Sleeping Beauty is a laugh-a-minute extravaganza with stunning sets, musical hits, fabulous costumes and exciting special effects to keep audiences both young and old entertained.
The fun-filled pantomime is bursting with belly laughs, clever (and always cheeky) slapstick humour, hilarious dance routines, dazzling displays, and all the fun elements of a great show. The tremendously energetic cast will crank up the comedy throughout, leaving spectators of all ages in a jolly good mood.

Cinderella: The Pantomime
26 November - 24 December 2022 at Blackpool Pleasure Beach Globe Theatre
Blackpool Pleasure Beach is staging a production of ‘Cinderella: The Pantomime’ in the run up to Christmas. Get ready for a Christmas cracker full of family fun with their fantastic festive production.
The classic show is a mystical reimagining of the timeless children’s story, telling the tale of a girl called Cinderella with a Wicked Stepmother and two spoiled stepsisters. Blackpool beauty, Charlotte Dawson, joins the cast as the Glamorous Stepmother with more cast announcements expected soon.
For 90 minutes, you will be whisked away to a fantasy world following Cinderella's adventure from rag to riches. Cheer, boo, and clap your way through the show and enjoy this real winter warmer. You shall go to the pantomime this Christmas!
Elf: The Musical
15 December – 26 December at Winter Gardens Blackpool
It’s not panto, but it’s rip-roaring fun. The hit Broadway and West End show ‘Elf: The Musical’, based on the Hollywood blockbuster movie, will bring some Christmas cheer to Blackpool with a sleigh full of laughs and spectacle from the 15 December.
The heart-warming story follows the tales and fortunes of Buddy, a young orphan child who mistakenly crawls into Santa’s bag of gifts and is transported back to the North Pole. The would-be elf is raised unaware that he is actually a human, until his enormous size and poor toy-making abilities cause him to face the truth.
This spectacular production features a fantastic flying sleigh, twenty feet high growing candy canes, a giant LED screen with Pixar style animated backgrounds, and amazing aerial stunts. Don't miss this irresistible, feel-good show.
VIVA The Santa Adventure
17 December - 24 December at VIVA Blackpool
The Santa Adventure follows on from Viva’s hit Santa’s Magical Workshop Christmas production last year. Head over to Viva for an afternoon of festive fun as Santa’s crazy elf helps him on a whirlwind adventure! Full of fun, mischief and festive mayhem, it's not to be missed. Before the show starts, your little one will have the chance to write a letter to the man himself and post in the magical golden post box.
VIVA Christmas Party Nights
26 November - 23 December at VIVA Blackpool
Starring Leye D Johns, the comedy host, and the Viva cast of incredible singers, dancers and special guests for a packed festive night of fun. Enjoy ‘Decades’ of music party theme featuring songs from the 70s, 80s, 90s, 00s and now! Also, don't miss the after show party where the bars remain open, the music turned up and the dancefloor open to party into the late hours!
One Night Only Christmas Party Night

Parka Monkeys Indie Christmas Big Night Out

Christmas carols not your cup of tea? Parka Monkeys are back with their biggest 'Big Night Out' yet. A live indie disco with two huge sets of the biggest and best loved indie and Britpop classics from Oasis, Arctic Monkeys, The Smiths, The Stone Roses, The Killers, The Courteeners, The Libertines, The Strokes, Blur, Pulp, James and much more.

Christmas Party Nights at The Imperial Hotel
