Browse Lucky Finds in Blackpool’s Hidden Gems!
Christmas is coming, and with that comes lots of shopping to prepare for the most wonderful time of the year.
Do you tend to buy the same pack of socks for dad or the same hand lotion for Auntie Beryl? If you do your Christmas shopping in Blackpool, there are a whole host of hidden gems that provide unique and meaningful gifts for everyone in the family, as well as offering handmade and quirky decorations to make your home a cosy and twinkling grotto during the festive season.
There are dozens of special stores to purchase presents throughout Blackpool, but these are some of our favourites!
In 1920s Britain, a charabanc was an early motor car, commonly used for sight-seeing to the seaside. Fitting, no? It has a beautiful frontage that’s recently been restored to its original splendour.
Charabanc celebrates local spirit and graft, from brightly-coloured Blackpool cushion covers to rings made from board game pieces – gifts to suit all pockets. Supporting local designers, the shop sells pretty and distinctive jewellery, clothing and homewares.
In 2016, Charabanc hosted a free shop party to peruse handmade and locally produced delights as revellers enjoyed a warming mulled cider and a tasty treat – keep your eyes peeled for another event this year! Click here for website.
Blueberries is the place to be if you prefer high-end brands. There are some high street favourites here, like Converse and TOMS, but you’ll also find some luxurious pieces from the creative minds of Vivienne Westwood and Diesel.
Whether treating yourself or someone else, the friendly staff will help you get your designer fix. Click here for website.
The Regent’s fabulous art-deco emporium on Church Street houses over fifty fantastic stalls. Selling antique, vintage and handmade treasures, there is a quaint tearoom and newly refurbished, 1920s picture house. There’s something for everyone in this trove of delights.
During the festive season, the tearoom at The Regent will be serving Christmas goodies including mince pies and turkey and stuffing barms – yum!
The Regent Cinema is once again fully operational, and looks fantastic since its newly-revealed makeover. Known for showcasing classic films, The Regent helps us get into the Christmas spirit and with some festive movies! Click here for website.
