Christmas Shows

Pantomimes are going ahead this Christmas? Oh yes they are!* It’s not Christmas without a pantomime, which is why we are delighted to hear that the curtain will rise in a handful of Blackpool venues to give us a sprinkling of festive magic from the stage.

Uplifting panto fun is just what we need to laugh this year’s blues away and give us the escapism we’ve been longing for. It offers families something to look forward to, but it also helps to support the arts through what has been a period of uncertainty. Here’s a list of all the Christmas pantomimes set to take place in Blackpool throughout December.

Pantomonium

Pantomonium - Blackpool Grand Theatre

18 December – 3 January 2021

What do you get when you cross Britain’s Got Talent finalist, Steve Royle, ex Emmerdale actor, Tom Lister and Jon Monie, winner of best script at The Great British Pantomime Awards 2019? Pantomonium of course!

The production has been specially written for this occasion and aids as a fundraiser for Blackpool Grand, so future generations can continue to enjoy live entertainment in this magnificent theatre. There is one thing for sure with Pantomonium – it’s bursting with belly laughs, clever (and always cheeky) slapstick humour, and all the fun elements of a great panto. The tremendously energetic cast continuously crank up the comedy throughout the show, leaving spectators of all ages at the edge of their seats laughing.

The condensed and COVID-safe fundraiser is keeping the spirit of pantomime alive in the heart of Blackpool. Be quick to get your tickets though, the number of tickets sold has been recorded in its history as the theatre’s biggest ever!

Pantomonium at Blackpool Grand Theatre will perform from 18 December to 3 January 2021. There will be three performances a day (11am, 3pm, and 7pm, running for approx. 1hr.15mins with no interval)
