by Visit Blackpool
Caribbean restaurant and bar, Turtle Bay, are delighted to announce that it will be officially opening its doors on Blackpool’s iconic promenade, on Friday 30th June.
Situated in the newly-restored Forshaws Hotel on Talbot Square, Turtle Bay will be landing in Blackpool just in time for summer season, bringing their killer combo of rum, reggae, and jerk to the seaside. The restaurant has Turtle Bay’s trademark beach-shack look and feel and the space has also been filled with an eclectic collection of uber cool, brightly coloured artworks and murals.
Turtle Bay will be bringing the magic of the Caribbean to Blackpool thanks to their day-to-night menu, which includes brand new fresh and zingy small and large plates and an array of stunning rum-based cocktails. There’s also plenty of vegan and vegetarian dishes on the menu, meaning there’s something for all tastes and occasions.
Turtle Bay’s legendary bottomless brunch will also be served up daily. This two-hour long Caribbean cocktail and brunching experience includes unlimited tropical cocktails, mocktails, Red Stripe, and prosecco. Turtle Bay’s famous 2-4-1 cocktail happy hour includes all the cocktails on the menu and will be landing in Blackpool too.
To celebrate Turtle Bay Blackpool’s impending arrival, the team will also be hosting a very special FREE Caribbean pop-up BBQ on the Festival Headland on Friday 23rd June. From 12PM-6PM (or whilst stock lasts), with the help of the master of Caribbean cooking, Turtle Bay’s Executive Chef, Collin Brown, the team will be slinging FREE sizzling samples of their famous jerk chicken wings, as well as serving tasters of signature cocktails from iconic rum brand Cockspur.
To join in with the free celebrations, Turtle Bay fans simply need to head over to the Festival Headland by following the spicy BBQ aromas, laid back reggae beats, and the traditional Barbadian beach shack! The Turtle Bay team will be offering up FREE island-inspired treats all throughout the day, but once they’re gone, they’re gone.
Adam Peel, General Manager, commented:
“It is a privilege to be part of the Turtle Bay family as we bring a taste of the Caribbean to Blackpool. With under two weeks to go we’re all getting very excited to open the doors to our fantastic new home by the sea. If you want to get a taste of things to come then join us this Friday 23rrd as we host our awesome pre-launch popup at the Headlands with samples of our jerk chicken wings and reggae rum punch! We’re busy prepping for that as well as opening our doors one week later on Friday 30th - we can’t wait to let the Caribbean good times roll!”
