The Full Monty
The Full Monty, at Blackpool Grand Theatre until 19th September.
Thursday night saw me and my girlfriends get together for some tea, some gossip and fantastic play at The Grand Theatre. We were lucky enough to get tickets to the opening night of The Full Monty which opened to a packed house… even up in the gods.
The show is about six unemployed men who have the idea that stripping is the best way for them to earn cash quick, each having their own insecurities, which is what makes you love them even more…
With a great and very recognisable cast (we spent half the night asking each other where we’d seen them before, Coronation Street, Dinner Ladies, Brookside!) this is a great adaptation from film to stage.
A special mention must go out to Fraser Kelly who played Nathan, Gaz’s son… he was fantastic and played the part perfectly!
There was plenty of laughter, lots of cheering and quite a few wolf whistles too!
All in all we had a brilliant night out, and can’t recommend this show enough.

I asked each of my friends to comment on the show:
“Not to be missed, had a ‘cracking’ good time” Jo (36 and 7 months)
“You’d be chuffing mad to miss it” – Shelly (34 and 4 months)
“It’s a cheeky treat…Brilliant night out” – Kim (32 and 9 months)
