Chart-topping indie superstars The 1975 and dance duo Disclosure will join rapper Wretch 32 to headline the groundbreaking Blackpool Rocks festival.
Globally-renowned DJ acts including Trevor Nelson, Pete Tong and Danny Howard will also take to the stage at the Winter Gardens gig on 21 December.
The 1975, which recently hit the number one spot with their self-titled debut album, lead a star-studded line-up in the Live Room, while Disclosure will perform their killer set in the Dance Arena (hosted by Nothing Else Matters), and Wretch 32 heats up the Urban Room.
Swim Deep, Little Comets, Rae Morris and Radio 1 DJ Huw Stephens will perform in the Live Room during the one-night-only gig, while Grum, Pete Tong and Hannah Wants complete the Dance Arena line-up.
There’s also an amazing array of artists lining up to take to the stage in the ‘Other Room’; the super-hot Wretch 32 will be joined by an Urban-inspired line-up including globally-celebrated DJ Trevor Nelson, DJ’s Fully Charged, Jay Fontalba and up-and-coming girl trio M.O, who will all perform their live sets throughout the night.
Some incredible local talent will be showcased in the exclusive VIP Randy Ron Pavilion (hosted by Randy Ron) – hear the sounds of Elliott Smith, Giles Hayton, and Nick Coulson light up the Winter Gardens.
A total of eight rooms and 8,000 people will make the Blackpool Rocks phenomenon a truly unique experience.
Blackpool Rocks is being brought to the Winter Gardens by Danny Howard, Alex Huckerby and Lytham Proms organisers Cuffe and Taylor.
Blackpool-born BBC Radio 1 DJ Danny Howard said: “This is an incredible line-up for what will be an unbelievable night. Seven rooms, 8,000 people and some of the best acts around – this is just the start of the Blackpool Rocks movement. It’s one of the biggest, most innovative events to be unleashed on the North West in a long time.”
Randy Ron presenter Alex Huckerby added: “Every year Randy Ron brings the biggest talent to Blackpool, including Example and Rudimental. This year we wanted to raise the bar once again, to coincide with the launch of our new brand ‘Nothing Else Matters’.
“Teaming up with Cuffe and Taylor has given us all the chance to pool together our ideas and put on what we believe will be one of the greatest events to come to Blackpool. It’s been an absolute pleasure to organise and I am so excited for the night.”
Tickets go on sale at 9am ON FRIDAY 27 SEPTEMBER and start at just £26.50 – tickets will be available online at www.blackpoolrocks.com or by calling 0844 888 9991.
