Review: Utopian - Hot Ice Show
We had the great pleasure of attending the premiere of this year's Hot Ice show at Blackpool Pleasure Beach on Thursday evening.
This years’ new production ‘Utopian’ is a spectacular fast-moving live performance, which promises to keep you sitting on the edge of your seat. Hot Ice is a dream that is brought to life by the stunning lighting that reflects the mood and magnificence of each scene. The young and dynamic skaters gracefully slide and glide into a world of creative paradise with intricate choreography performed to beautifully written music, conceived and inspired by the greatest soundtracks to our lives.
The show is an exhilarating, breathtaking, glamorous, glitterball explosion of fun right from the off.
Wonderfully choreographed by Olympic athlete Oula Jaaskelainen the team of ice dancers take you on an absolute thrill ride of leaps and spins that simply take your breath away. I don't think I've ever seen such depth of power and stamina that these youngsters show throughout the whole performance.
Hats off to the music and lighting people too who brought a real touch of theatre to said performances and a mention must go out to wardrobe who I can only imagine did a heist at Swarovski.
Hot Ice will run until 7th September and you can book your tickets here: https://bookings.blackpoolpleasurebeach.com/shows/date/hot-ice
