Pleasure Beach Resort opens this weekend (March 1) for the 2025 season after being closed for winter works since the end of November.
The Lancashire theme park has been carrying out extensive winter maintenance on all of its rides and attractions in preparation for the new season.
Initially, Pleasure Beach will open for weekends in March, and then weekdays and weekends from April.
The Nickelodeon Land area of the park, aimed at families and mini thrillseekers, opened during February half term for the first time in over ten years – and was one of the first theme parks in the country to do so.
But now the 42-acre park will open in its entirety for the year, where guests can ride the Big One, ICON and the award-winning Valhalla.
This year also marks the grand opening of Pleasure Beach’s re-imagined Launch Pad ride.
A 200 foot cylinder, which travelled more than a thousand miles across Europe before arriving at Pleasure Beach in Blackpool, is the key component of the ride re-imagining and will complete transform the rider experience.
Launch Pad has also received an aesthetic overhaul with new colours, branding and a space exploration theme.
CEO of Pleasure Beach Resort, Amanda Thompson OBE said: “We’re really excited about 2025 at Pleasure Beach. We’re ready for our park to be brought to life again for another season, and for all of our guests to make truly fantastic memories with us.
“We’ve added more Twilight Thrills, more High Adventure Experiences, and have some exciting announcements to come this year, so keep your eyes peeled and your ears open – we can’t wait to share!”
