Nationwide Search Launched for the Next Star of Burlesque The Musical

The producers of Burlesque The Musical have launched a nationwide search to find the next performer to take on the iconic role of Ali Rose – the character made famous by Christina Aguilera in the beloved film. The show will arrive in Blackpool at the Winter Gardens at the end of the year – 21^st December 2026 – 2^ndJanuary 2027.
 
This extraordinary opportunity invites talented performers from across the UK to audition for the starring role in the hit West End musical, with selected candidates invited to perform live in front of the show's producers.

How to Audition
Hopeful Ali Roses are invited to submit a 90-second video audition performing:

• The opening riff of "Tough Lover"

• A verse and chorus of "Bound to You"

The producers are looking for performers who can bring the voice, the presence, and the magic that defines the character of Ali Rose – a small-town girl with big dreams who finds her voice and her power in the glamorous world of burlesque.
 
Audition Requirements:

• Deadline: 1 May 2026, 11:59pm (BST)

• Must be 18+ with UK work eligibility

• No lip-syncing permitted – authentic vocal performance only
