Fantastic Acts Announced for Lytham Festival!
Il Divo, the world's first and most successful classical-crossover group, are the first headline act announced for Lytham Festival 2018.
Il Divo will be joined on stage by special guest Olivier Award-winning West End star, singer and actress Martine McCutcheon and the Heart of England Orchestra.
Il Divo were heralded an international musical sensation after becoming the first classical crossover group in history to reach the top of the Billboard 200 (USA) list in 2005, and they have shared microphones with fellow superstars from Barbra Streisand to Celine Dion.
Legendary musician Nile Rodgers and his band Chic are heading to Lytham Festival for an uber cool night of disco, hip hop and rock.
Nile and Chic will headline the Main Proms Arena on Lytham Green on Saturday July 21.
And they will be supported by special guests 80s pop chart-toppers Bananarama and Grammy Award winners Soul II Soul.
Nile Rogers and Chic, famous for hits including Everybody Dance and Le Freak, have enjoyed global success for more than 40 years. They remain as relevant today as they did when they first hit the scene back in 1976.
The announcement comes as it’s already been revealed Steps will kick off Lytham Festival on Wednesday July 18 as they headline a pop-fuelled part night in the Main Proms Arena with special guests Whigfield, Vengaboys and DJ Pat Sharp.
In a hit-packed career, Steps have scored 14 top 5 singles, sold more than 20 million records and reached Number One with three albums and three singles.
And their dancefloor-filling, feelgood brand of pop – which gave us such huge hits as 5, 6, 7, 8, One For Sorrow, Stomp and Tragedy – is proving just as popular today as it’s ever been.
