Last night, history was made - Blackpool’s Pleasure Beach Resort Arena opened its door for its newest production Hot Ice XC, for a historic 90th year - further cementing its place as the oldest running, seasonal ice skating show.
Its opening performance saw 1,500 theatre-goers, from around the country, pack the Arena in Blackpool to watch the show, said to be one of the most physically demanding in the world.
Over 31 world-class skaters and specialist acts form this year's cast, and left the crowd stunned by a performance which combines artistry and athleticism to offer edge of your section action.
Among the world-class cast include former olympians and champions at both national and international levels, as well as Blackpool-born performers, including: James Horrocks, Nadia Craggs, Francesca Guerin, and Jasmine Robinson - who becomes the third generation of her family to perform in Hot Ice.
Hot Ice will continue its landmark celebrations, running performances throughout the summer, until September 10. Ticket prices range from £5 - £25 and can be booked here.
