Laugh yourself silly at The Blackpool Tower Circus
Everyone’s favourite clown family, the Endresz Family, this year celebrate their 25th anniversary of performing. They’ve fine tuned their act over the years, never ceasing to entertain families and circus goers across the region – and this year’s Silver Jubilee Circus Show will really be worth watching! Mooky & Mr Boo are joined in the Circus Ring by performers and acrobats from around the world. Expect to laugh yourself silly and marvel at the amazing acrobatics on show.
Get in the festival spirit at Madame Tussauds, Blackpool
Coachella took over our Instagram feeds, Glastonbury is just weeks away – there’s no denying that 2016’s festival season is going to be epic and the incredible Festival Fields at Madame Tussauds, Blackpool can be enjoyed all summer long. It’s a definite highlight for those who want to be part of all the festival fun, without getting muddy and wet. Learn all about the beasts of the deep that lurked in the ocean millions of years ago with Jurassic Seas, the latest underwater arrival to SEA LIFE’s Promenade Aquarium. See how so many scary and strange looking sea creatures evolved into ones we now know and love today. And why not take part in the interactive game against a ferocious prehistoric creature, Megalodon – just make sure you don’t become fish food!
Say ‘aww’ at Blackpool Zoo
It’s a special time at Blackpool Zoo, with a few new births already this year. Make sure you visit the zoo to see the cute two-humped Bactrian Camel babies take their first steps. And head to our Zebra & Bongo House to see Jabali, the rare Hartmann’s Zebra foal born right at the end of last year, playing with his parents Helene and Fernando. There’s plenty of monkeying around too, with the latest additions to the Small Primates section coming in the form of two baby DeBrazza Monkeys.
Have a splashing day at Sandcastle Waterpark
Celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, Sandcastle Waterpark is the perfect place to visit over the summer. Whatever the weather, there’s never been a better time to splash around in the UK’s biggest indoor waterpark. Ride around the beach resort on the heritage trams
Tried and tested by none other than Michael Portillo for his television series Great British Railway Journeys, our heritage trams are the perfect way to explore the beach resort of Blackpool.
