Genting Casinos have unveiled plans for an extensive refurbishment in excess of £½ million of its Blackpool casino that will transform it into the area’s premier gaming and leisure destination.
The casino on North Shore, which employs more than 70 part-time and full-time people, will officially reveal its new look on Friday 15 November.
Genting Regional Director, Graeme Fletcher said: “Blackpool has come a long way in recent years and this investment recognises the progress the town has made as a tourist and leisure destination. We are confident that this new investment will further enhance the facilities on offer to locals and visitors alike.”
The refurbishment programme is already underway and the casino will remain open while the work takes place. Touching all areas of the venue, housed in a beautiful listed building which has been the site of a casino for more than 25 years, the makeover will transform the casino into a modern, contemporary destination whilst preserving the period features of the building. It will also include a new reception area and the addition of the stylish Fahrenheit bar and restaurant, Blackpool’s newest dining experience, serving up a range of tempting dishes, cocktails and a wide selection of drinks.
At the heart of the casino is the gaming floor where the knowledgeable team are trained to the highest standards in order to provide first class customer service. All of the popular casino games are available from American Roulette, Blackjack and 3 Card Poker to Electronic Roulette and Slot machines. In addition, the casino offers Texas Hold’em Poker competitions five days a week and cash games on request.
For those new to gaming, the casino also offers engaging learn to play sessions where customers can have fun whilst being shown how to play Blackjack, Roulette or Texas Hold’em Poker. These sessions can be booked in advance for parties and can be tailored to individual requirements. The casino will also offer weekly Poker sessions and regular live entertainment.
Genting Club Blackpool is a major employer and plays a key role in the local community, regularly supporting local charities including the Deaf Poker Society and Rainbows Children’s Hospice. The venue is a responsible, professional gaming destination that works closely with GamCare and other organisations to ensure that its customers have a great experience.
“This is an exciting development for Blackpool and we look forward to welcoming regular and new customers to celebrate our refurbishment with us,” concluded Graeme.
