There’s much more to Halloween than just trick or treating, and the variety of spooky fun to have in Blackpool is frightfully good.
For families with small children, there are plenty of opportunities to enjoy the atmosphere of Halloween without it being too scary for little ones to get involved. There are big thrills to be had across resort, but we’ve selected a few of the more gentle events taking place that the whole family can enjoy.
The Blackpool Tower Ballroom Halloween Family Party
Go along to one of the most beautiful spots in Blackpool on 27 and 31 October, the Blackpool Tower Ballroom, for a spooktacular Halloween family party to remember!
The whole family (particularly the little ones) will be amazed by illusions and a themed UV Light Show.
The entertainment includes Hayley Kay, Halloween balloon show, thriller dance routines, a fancy dress competition (where first prize is a Merlin Annual Pass for a family of four worth £476.00!) and a UV party! There’ll be Halloween themed treats aplenty, fabulous décor and surprises. The event starts from 19:00 with tickets priced at £8.95 for adults, £6.95 for children and £2.95 for toddlers (2-3 years). Be there, and be scared!
Raver Tots is a family rave where kids and grownups can hit the dance floor and let off some steam together. Head along to Viva Blackpool on October 28 at 14:00 to throw some shapes in your best fancy dress costumes!
Centred around the kids’ enjoyment, there’s face painting, UV lights, bubbles, balloons, confetti and giant parachutes in a rave style atmosphere with some of the UK’s top DJ’s including residents Artful Dodger, Brandon Block, Slipmatt and Nicky Blackmarket.
Tickets start at £7.50 and can be purchased here.
SEA LIFE ‘Ascarium’
Explore the ocean depths to discover the spooky creatures that lurk beneath the waves. Find the missing magic ingredients around SEA LIFE to help the Sea witch cast her spell and claim your reward! There is no additional cost for this event beyond the usual admission price; great value fun!
Central Pier Halloween Party
Host Kieron, award winning magician Russ Brown and international circus star Mr. Slava will all be on-hand to entertain the whole family at the Central Pier Halloween Party on 27 October at 19:00. There’ll also be a special showing of the haunted house UV show! If 19:00 is a little late for your kiddiwinks, the family entertainment will actually commence from 13:00 if you need to get home for bedtimes.
On 31 October, family favourite Emma Louise will perform alongside international hula star Steffi! The hilarious Magic Malky stars with international circus star Mr. Slava on South Pier, and both shows commence at 19:00.
Please note seating cannot be reserved and is limited, so the Central Pier team strongly advise for arriving early to secure a chair/table. Hot and cold snacks will be available to purchase along with fully licensed bars.
Ascent Trampoline Park
Looking for a way to tire the kids out after lots of sugar? Look no further than Ascent’s Halloween parties!
