DATES: Blackpool’s annual Illuminations display will once again be extended by two months, shining nightly from September 1, 2023 to January 1, 2024.
Have you seen them? The sort of spectacle that everyone should see at least once. For generations, children and adults alike have been entranced by the spellbinding seafront spectacle which bathes the promenade with more than a million magical bulbs in a shimmering sea of light. The greatest free light show on earth has been a major part of Blackpool’s attraction scene since 1879 when they were described as ‘artificial sunshine’.
It's a wonderful opportunity to experience miles of festoon, larger-than-life tableaux, illuminated trams, instagrammable features, laser technology and stunning projection shows during the dark winter months.
