The Blackpool Tower Dungeon
Nowhere in Blackpool tells stories like the Dungeons, where 10 live shows give you an exciting, scary and funny journey through 1,000 years of Lancashire’s murky past.
Led by a cast of brilliant actors, the show combines impressive sets with spooky special effects and a thrilling drop ride, and you can enjoy it all from just £10.50 if you book online.
Meet your hosts
There is a full cast of infamous villains, rogues and rascals just waiting to welcome you into the belly of The Blackpool Tower Dungeon. Here’s who you should look out for:
You’ll need a guide to help you find your way around, and The Jester will help you do just that. Of course, you’ll have to listen to a few jokes first, but eventually you’ll be allowed into the lifts and head down into the dark and murky dungeons.
You won’t find a friendly welcome at Lytham Priory, where the monks are convinced everyone who walks in might have the plague. And maybe you do. You’re about to find out.
The Plague Doctor’s Assistant
Prepare to feel the full, pus-ridden effects of the Black Death. Literally. The doctor’s assistant will show you into the examination room, where they will try and provide a cure that will save you from the plague. Whether they’ll work or not is anyone’s guess.
We’ve all heard about the gruesome punishments handed out in the Middle Ages, but the Torturer knows more about them than most. What’s more, he’ll need some volunteers to help him demonstrate.
Welcome to the funniest trial of the century. Judge Blackheart is pretty sure you’ve committed a crime at some point, and there’s very little you can do to persuade him otherwise. The law has no time for your excuses.
The Skippool Smugglers
The Skippool Smugglers are in need of new recruits to help them get their ill-gotten gains to safety. But look out! There’s a Revenue spy in the room, and there’s every chance it could be you.
The Pendle Witches
There was a time when it didn’t take much to get accused of witchcraft in Blackpool. And when you’re found guilty, the punishment is not for the faint-hearted. Don’t say you weren’t warned.
Drop Dead Ride
Your journey ends as you face your fate at the hands of the Dungeon’s executioner. Join your friends and family on the fearsome drop ride and get ready for your sentence.
