• The fantastic new seafront is taking shape, including the Spanish Steps leading down onto the beach and the Great Promenade Show of open air, interactive art work on South Beach.
• New headlands are also being created along the seafront. Work is underway on the multi-million pound Tower Festival Headland, which will have an amazing open-air arena with a 20,000 capacity.
• Work is also taking place on the £2.6 million revamp of the resort’s Central Gateway project – continuing to improve the welcoming experience for visitors driving into the town.
• St John’s Square – a vibrant piazza with cafes and markets – is set to  be unveiled in September 2009
