Illumination Guides for Groups

Experts will be on hand throughout the Illuminations season, from Friday 3 September to Sunday 7 November, offering a personal insight into everything you ever wanted to know about the history and making of the Lights.

This year, the Illuminations are giving coach parties the chance to have their very own Guide for the 2010 Illuminations show not just on coaches, but guides will be also be available for talks at hotels for those groups wishing to see the Lights on foot, tram or car, so they don’t miss out on the experience.

For coaches, the guides will accompany the tour on their six-mile journey of electrifying lights, telling you everything you could want to know about new features, an insight into the history of the Illuminations and some quirky behind the scenes facts.

Likewise, the guides will join groups and parties at hotels along the Fylde Coast to provide some fantastic information on this electrifying show before they visit the Lights themselves.
We have a group of around six guides, most of whom have spent many years working behind the scenes in Blackpool’s Illuminations Department, accruing over 100 years of service between them, making them the perfect ambassadors for the job.
