The Royal Alexandra Hotel has 84 rooms of varying size and occupancy. Our hotel rooms range from single rooms, to family of 5 rooms and everything in between. If you are looking for popular accommodation In Blackpool this is perfect for you.

Each room has private en suite bathrooms with a shower or bath, a 22 inch flat screen TV, and tea and coffee making facilities.


Our friendly local knowledgeable reception team are on hand to help you at every point in your stay. Reception is open from 9.00am through to 11.00pm every day. From a warm welcome at check-in, arranging our porter service to help with your cases if you require it, you can also purchase discount tickets for many fabulous attractions, information about the town and directions, right through to check out and taking care of your luggage on your day of departure. Additional luggage labels are available on request at reception.         

The reception staff are also happy to store valuables in the hotel safe during your stay. We have night porters on duty from 11.00pm though to 9.00am, meaning that our reception is staffed 24 hours a day, so if you want to go out on the town, you don’t need to worry about getting back into the hotel, as there is always a member of staff there at your service.

Here at the Royal Alexandra Hotel we pride ourselves on ensuring that after a hard days sightseeing you don’t need to leave the comfort of the hotel to have a great night. We provide nightly entertainment in our dedicated cabaret bar, with the very best of our local talent coming to entertain you each and every night of your stay. From comedians, vocalists and musicians we have your entertainment covered, with our very talented comperes also running nightly games of bingo and giving away cash prizes!


In the morning you can enjoy a selection of fruit juices and cereals or creamy porridge, full English breakfast, toast and preserves followed by freshly ground coffee or tea.

In the evening enjoy a 4 course choice menu, prepared by our fully trained chefs who are more than happy to cook to your dietary requirements whether you are vegetarian, coeliac or have children with you that are fussy eaters there is always plenty of choice. All meals will be served to you at your table by our friendly, efficient and well-presented restaurant team.

Evening meal is usually served over 2 sittings, either 5.00pm, 6.30pm. (This may vary depending on occupancy levels).

Breakfast is served daily from 8.00am until 9.30am, (This may vary depending on occupancy levels).

If you would like to pre-book your evening meal time or if you have any specific table requirements this can be arranged by contacting the hotel prior to your arrival.

Our fully qualified chef’s prepare a varied four course menu for you to choose from every evening, vegetarian option and salad option. Children’s meals are also available if your young ones don’t want something off the main menu. High chairs are available on request in the dining room.

Our friendly restaurant staff are on hand to ensure that you’re every need is cared for, there is also the option to pre-book drinks from the bar whilst ordering your meal by simply completing the order form which can be found at the bottom of your menu. Our staff are available for any queries you may have and will ensure that your mealtimes as memorable as the Blackpool Tower.

Mobility and Special Needs

Regretfully the Royal Alexandra Hotel is not suitable for guests who are confined to a wheelchair. Should you or a member of your party have walking difficulties, please make a member of staff aware at the time of booking or at least 7 days prior to arrival and we will try to allocate a bedroom which is more suitable. All guests must be able to manage 8 stairs as there are steps from the outside of the hotel leading to main reception. Please note, we cannot guarantee a particular bedroom number in any of our hotels. We are happy to help passengers who have restricted mobility but regret that we do not have the skills or resources at the hotels or on the coaches to accommodate unaccompanied passengers who require mobility assistance or passengers who are wheelchair bound.

Guests are able to hire a mobility scooter or wheel chair on arrival or prior to their arrival by contacting reception.

Departure Information

On your departure day if you need any assistance with your cases please leave them outside of your room at 8.00am with your name and destination details clear on your label for our porter.

Coach departure times will be displayed in the Reception area, please be in the hotel half an hour before your stated departure time to avoid any unnecessary delays.

We also provide packed lunches for our journey home for £3.99, which include a choice of sandwich, packet of crisps, choice of drink, and a packet of biscuits. These can be ordered on the morning of your departures.
