Description

Come and meet Guide Dog Puppies and see their early training, find out just how many skills all the different amazing assistance dogs have – see them help with household tasks, see how they learn to guide their owner over a busy road or through an obstacle-filled pavement. Meet Hearing Dogs, Dog AID Dogs, PAT Dogs and many others in their distinctive coats. See how these wonderful dogs truly transform lives. See how a seemingly playful, ordinary dog can change instantly into a skilful and highly disciplined working life-changer. Find out how to recognise behaviours in your own dog and which of these should be encouraged or discouraged. Sighted Guides and Signing experts will be there to assist and the site is wheelchair-friendly.
Arena- demonstrations from Guide Dogs, Dog AID, The Cumbrian Sheep Dog Experience and others will run through each day, surrounded by stalls of all kinds, information, tactile experiences – plenty to do for all ages, refreshments and more. Plenty of free parking: a fantastic day out for all.
