The Hoosiers to Headline Blackpool Music Run
Blackpool Music Run will take over the Promenade on Sunday, September 23, with seven stages breaking up the journey from the Metropole to Squires Gate and a Finishers Festival on North Pier - headlined by The Hoosiers.
Funds will be raised for our nominated charity Streetlife, a charity that works tirelessly to support homeless youngsters in the local area. This will be through participants being sponsored to take part. We also welcome entrants who have another charity close to their hearts who they would like to raise money for or those who would just like to take part.
Blackpool Music Run is a new 10 and 2-kilometre family event along the Golden Mile. There will be 7 stages along the route with over 20 local and upcoming artists and bands playing throughout.
After the run there will be a Finishers Festival on North Pier, tickets to this are free for 10k participants and children aged 14 and under when accompanied by a full paying adult.
The event has been organised to show off Blackpool’s fantastic scenery and to encourage more people to get involved in something active. Just as important is the opportunity this event will give to local upcoming and established artists to show off their talents.
Blackpool Music Run will be held on Sunday 23 September and the timing has been planned to coincide with other events over the weekend to encourage visitors to stay in Blackpool for the weekend.
The event has been organised by HN Taylor in association with Fylde Coast Runners with main sponsor Blackpool Promotions and associate sponsors Hounds Hill and North Pier Blackpool.
Luke Taylor commented, “The event came about through myself and my wife’s love for Blackpool and the fact that we wanted to show it off in a new and exciting way, we want everybody to have the chance to show their talents whilst creating a new major yearly event in the Blackpool calendar”.
Tickets for both the 10k and 2k event are on sale now and can be purchased through the official website here.
