Blackpool Illuminations, is the biggest free light show on earth, and one of the most iconic sights in British culture.
This year like years gone by we are excited for the uveiling of what promises to be a display like other.Returning are much loved favourites Bling, Alice’s Garden, Dynamo, Art for Walls amongst much more loved features that will light the Blackpool skyline until November 8. If you have not yet experienced the Blackpool Illuminations, make 2015 your year!
One of the greatest and biggest elements that of 2015 is an exciting new elements project called LightPool. Lightpool will revolutionise the Illuminations using new creative content, with the most exciting and noticeable change being the introduction of projection mapping technology. As well as the incredible display along the six mile stretch of Promenade, a stunning projection show will adorn The Blackpool Tower building. The specially created 3D film will offer something totally different and truly spectacular. On top of that, there will also be a whole host of interactive and exciting events that will accompany the display with +the Grundy Art Gallery and others playing a key role.

BES Utilities, ‘The power behind the Lights
Leading energy supplier and Fleetwood-based company, BES Utilities is now in the second year of a sponsorship deal with Blackpool Council worth in excess of £100,000, and is proud to be ‘The Power Behind The Lights’.
BES Managing Director Andy Pilley said: “As one of Britain’s leading suppliers of commercial gas, electricity and telecoms we are experts at saving businesses money on their utility bills.
BES Utilities provided electricity for free for the Illuminations in 2014 and at half price for this year. The deal equates to more than £100,000 – making BES Utilities the biggest contributor to the Lights for more than a decade.
