Blackpool Illuminations is Britain’s most famous light show and one of the most iconic sights in British culture.
On November 9th we dimmed the Lights for another year. This season we saw the arrival of the much loved Alice’s Garden co-designed by Illuminations creative curator Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen, along with other arrivals including Brain Box, The Bradshaws and many more. If you missed out this year, take a look out our gallery that showcases some of the best images of our new features and unique pictures from delighted visitors to this year’s world famous Blackpool Illuminations.
Don’t miss out on what 2015 has to offer and keep Friday 4th – Sunday 6th September 2015 free for our Blackpool Illuminations Switch-On Festival Weekend and make sure you visit next year where Blackpool Illuminations will be shining until Sunday 8th November 2015.
There’s still time to make a donation for this year’s Lights and support the Blackpool Illuminations where all the money raised goes directly back into the Illuminations for next year. Please click here to make a donation.
Our Illuminations team have now started on next year’s display working tirelessly to create a new and different display which will continue to keep the crowds coming back.
The 2015 season will be no different and the Blackpool Illuminations team, along with our creative curator, the inimitable Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen, will be working on a number of exciting new features which are sure to put a twinkle in your eye.
BES Commercial Electricity is…
“The power behind the lights”
BES our energy provider, will remain our proud sponsors for a second year, who have agreed to fund the electricity that powers the Illuminations for two whole years. This is an amazing gesture and we’re delighted they are on board.
