Blackpool’s Tourist Information Centre Has moved!
The Tourist Information Centre has moved from its traditional home on Clifton Street to a brand new location, right on Blackpool’s fantastic new Promenade.
The TIC is located in Festival House, situated on the new Tower Festival Headland, on the promenade opposite the world famous Blackpool Tower. The new Tourist Information Centre opened it's doors to visitors for the first time on Wednesday 18th January.
The fantastic new venue will feature state of the art video screens to give visitors to the resort a taster of everything Blackpool has to offer without leaving the building. The TIC will also stock a whole range of Blackpool merchandise, from the ever popular “I Heart BPL” hoodies, to a selection of Comedy Carpet inspired gifts.
Our friendly and knowledgeable staff are on hand to answer any queries that visitors might have and help them plan their stay in the resort. Assistance can be provided with everything from finding accommodation to booking tickets for one of the many fantastic shows taking place in the resort or purchasing discounted tickets for Blackpool’s top attractions.
In addition to being the new home for the TIC, Festival House also accommodates Blackpool’s unique new Wedding venue. The venue is an amazing new low-carbon wedding space with breathtaking and romantic views across the beach and sea.
Festival House will also feature a fabulous new restaurant, and with its prime location on Blackpool’s world famous promenade, what better place to enjoy a bite to eat whilst enjoying the amazing views!
The £15.5m Festival Headland juts out into the sea beneath Blackpool Tower and features the incredible Comedy Carpet, an art installation set into the headland, featuring hundreds of hilarious quotes and sketches from well known comedians. In addition, it can be used as a 20,000 capacity open air arena designed to host world class events including the Olympic Torch Relay Event and Evening Celebration as well as the Blackpool Illuminations Switch On ceremony.
Natalie Wyatt, Managing Director of Marketing Blackpool, comments, “We are thrilled that Blackpool’s Tourist Information Centre is moving into this new state of the art building. The stunning new building is in a great location on the promenade, close to many of Blackpool’s major attractions and is conveniently placed for visitors to the resort to get all the information and advice they need to make the most of their stay.”
