March into Blackpool’s glorious Grand Theatre and light up your evenings with a month of magnificent shows with everything from award-winning drama, hilarious comedy, spectacular dance and live music to breathtaking ballet and a psychic night on offer!
Choose from sensational 60s superstars in The Solid Silver 60s Show; famed Irish folk band The Dubliners; celebrity psychic and TV star Sally Morgan; acclaimed cockney rocker Joe Brown in Concert; outrageous Aussie comedy duo Busting Out; electrifying new percussion spectacular DrumChasers and a dazzling dance debut at the Grand for The Works.

The Solid Silver 60s Show brings together the unforgettable talents of 60s superstars Dave Berry, Chris Farlowe, Wayne Fontana and Terry Sylvester of the Hollies, all backed by Vanity Fare with very special guests The Merseybeats. The UK’s original and premier 60s show is back once again in its 26th year and it’s the place to hear the classic hits performed by the original hitmakers! Expect all your favourite 60s sounds including The Crying Game, Handbags and Gladrags, The Air That I Breathe, Don’t Turn Around, He ‘Aint Heavy He’s My Brother and many more.

Strap yourselves in for two bosom buddies from Down Under in Busting Out as they star in their own laugh-out-loud and totally liberating show which is part stand up, part musical and all laughter. No matter what your age, gender, shape or (cup) size, this Australian hit comedy show is an uplifting celebration of bouncy songs, wobbly jokes, knicker-wetting sketches and practical demonstrations for your drooping assets! Ten incredible percussionists and dancers take to the stage in an explosion of sound and light with a story of rivalry, romance and rhythm in DrumChasers. Powerful and energetic, moving and funny, this is a show for all ages and promises an evening quite unlike anything you’ve seen before. Mr Bennett, a caretaker in an old concert hall, looks after the instruments stored within its walls. However, one night, something happens, something loud and something otherworldly and he is transported to a land of percussion where forbidden love struggles to be heard.

Watch the future stars of stage and screen as Phil Winston’s renowned Theatreworks proudly presents The Works – an exhilarating new show where the talented students have the chance to perform on the famous Grand stage. Former students have gone on to wow theatre audiences in the West End in Mamma Mia, Fame, Beauty and the Beast, We Will Rock You and Starlight Express to name a few, as well as the Moulin Rouge and Lido in Paris. The cast welcomes parents, teachers and friends as well as casting directors, agents and choreographers.

The defining voice of contemporary English folk music, Kate Rusby’s exquisite interpretations of traditional songs and self-penned tunes have won her an audience far beyond the genre. The original and exciting Opera della Luna company makes a welcome return with its celebrated production of Gilbert and Sullivan’s HMS PINAFORE. In true Opera della Luna style, eight multi-talented singer/actors become crew, chorus and principals in a brilliantly fast and hilarious production of this famous comic opera. Packed to the brim with toe-tapping tunes, the wit and verve of this performance will prove beyond doubt that Opera della Luna has now established itself as one of the country’s leading exponents of operetta and comic music-theatre.

Beyond the Barricade brings you all the greatest songs and moments of the West End musicals and features music from all the top shows, including all the popular family favourites, sung by past principal performers from Les Misérables backed by a live band. This truly talented cast will perform a brand new 2011 production which includes songs from Phantom of the Opera, The Lion King, Mamma Mia, Miss Saigon , Love Never Dies, The Jersey Boys and many more, climaxing with a spectacular finale from, of course, Les Misérables.

The greatest love story ever danced, Shakespeare’s timeless tragedy is brought beautifully to life in this exceptional ballet. Lavish sets and costumes as well as the gloriously gifted performers of one of Russia’s foremost ballet companies, perfectly evokes Renaissance Verona with all its bitter feuds, passionate encounters and tragic twists of fate.

Dance the night away with a dynamic concert from The Drifters. One of the biggest selling and longest serving bands of all time, the line up has undergone many changes and included icons Clyde McPhatter, Ben E King, Rudy Lewis and Johnny Moore. Who can forget classics such as Saturday Night at the Movies, There Goes My First Love, Under The Boardwalk, You're More Than A Number in My Little Red Book, Kissing In The Back Row and many more? This non-stop show combines classic songs, top flight choreography and world class musicians plus some of the group's newer material from recent releases.

Amazing award-winning dance company balletLORENT presents a new full length production Blood, Sweat & Tears - an exploration of the darkness and light of extreme love. As a couple experience a tender and all-consuming love for their newborn baby, they begin to fight for affection and attention from each other. Tender and powerful, with movement vocabulary sourced from both ballet and wrestling, Blood Sweat & Tears is inspired by the ups and downs of unconditional love. Unmissable.

Get ready for five hours of rib-tickling fun at the Grand! The King Of Mirth Ken Dodd OBE is once again leaving the Diddy Men in the Jam Butty Mines of Knotty Ash to bring his famous Happiness Show. Another evening full of plumptiousness is promised from Professor Chucklebutty, who has been honoured with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the prestigious British Comedy Awards and also features in the Guinness Book of Records for telling 1,500 jokes in three and a half hours. That’s more than seven jokes a minute!
