Whatever the time of year – it’s festival time in Blackpool! The beach resort plays host to a wide range of first-class festivals attracting visitors from across the globe.
February half-term’s Showzam! is a vibrant international festival of circus, magic and new variety. The fun-packed annual event brings a stunning selection of world-class talent to Blackpool. With street entertainment, free events, sideshows and fantastic variety and circus shows - it’s simply magic! Showzam returns 15-24 February 2013.
Blackpool is the world’s mecca of Ballroom dancing and the Annual Dance Festival is the world’s first and foremost festival of dance - attracting top competitors from around the world. 2011’s festival will take place from 24 May – 1 June at the Winter Gardens.
Every March the Winter Gardens will be in action again, hosting the Festival of Hair and Beauty with entry open to the public. Around 600 contestants with their models from all over Great Briatin and Ireland will attend and compete for trophies, diplomas and generous prize money: enjoy their creations as well as an exciting trade exhibition with free hair shows and featuring brand new products.
