Blackpool Dance Festival at The Winter Gardens Blackpool – Thursday 24th May to Friday 1st June

Covering a period of nine days this is by far the largest of all the five Blackpool Festivals and covers Ballroom and Latin American dancing, incorporating the British Open Championships for Adult Amateur and Professional couples, plus Formation Teams, the British Rising Star Amateur Ballroom and Latin Competitions. The two ‘Invitation’ events - the Professional Team Match on the Saturday and the Exhibition Competition on the Thursday evening, create a vast amount of interest and crowd appeal. 

Begun in 1920 this will be the 87th year for the event which now attracts a total number of 2,843 entries from 60 countries in the 12 events including 6 Ballroom Formation Teams and 12 Latin Formation Teams.
