Selected Blackpool Council Car Parks & Houndshill Shopping Centre, selected dates
Plan your visit and save on the cost of car parking, with selected dates only costing £1! Park for a Pound will coincide with Thursday late night shopping dates that include November 27th and December 4th, 11th and 18th. Drivers can park from 5pm until midnight in the four Town Centre Council Car Parks; West Street, Central, Talbot multi-storey and East Topping Street for just £1. The Houndshill will also be taking part in this offer, during late night Thursdays on these dates and times. Park for a Pound will also be available Sunday November 30th and December 7th, 14 in the four Council Town Centre Car Parks. Along with this on December 6th, national “Small business Saturday”, will see free parking in all Council car parks throughout the day and evening. Plenty of opportunities to save this Christmas!

North Pier, Saturday 20th December
Bring the children to see Santa in his grotto on the biggest toy train in Blackpool! Santa will be on the Illuminated Western Train tram outside the North Pier from 10am on Saturday 20th December.
Any adult who has a valid Blackpool 1 Ticket may take their child to see Santa free of charge.
Children – enter our prize draw on the train for a £50 voucher from Toymaster. Santa will see as many children as possible on the day. Please arrive early on the day to avoid disappointment.

Sadly unlike Santa, we don’t have hundreds of elves running around buying and wrapping all our presents but Blackpool does have huge high street names for everything you need all under one roof. For the organised Christmas shopper to the last minute hopeful, in the HoundsHill Shopping Centre you will be able to complete your Christmas shopping list, and find a little something for yourself. Fashionistas can search the rails of stores including H&M, River Island and Debenhams to find their perfect party outfit. On Thursdays from November 27th – December 18th late night shopping will see shops open until 8pm with festive joy from a range of choirs performing much loved Christmas carols. Be sure to take advantage of £1 parking on these dates in the Houndshill car park. The serious shopper can also take on the Blackpool high street to find much more from stores such as Topshop, Marks & Spencer and BHS. Independent and boutique shops can be the perfect place to find unique presents that no one else will find or something for the person that has everything.

New Year’s Eve
As we bid farewell to one almighty year in Blackpool, we welcome the arrival of another jam packed one. Throughout the town on December 31st venues will be celebrating the New Year with an array of themes and events. The iconic Blackpool Tower Ballroom in their majestic surroundings present the New Year’s Eve Gala Dance with live entertainment from Ashely Frohlick and The Empress Orchestra plus organ music provided by their resident organists Chris Hopkins and Phil Kellsall. At the Winter Gardens toasting the early hours can take place in either the Empress Ballroom or the Spanish Hall. Join the New Year’s Eve Family Party in the Empress Ballroom or book your ticket for the Blackpool New Year’s Eve Soul Party in the Spanish Hall. For a combination of 70s and 80s music with glamour and a tribute band performing classic songs from the film “The Commitments” the Sands Venue will be an amazing start to 2015.
