Blackpool Zoo and Dinosaur Safari

Home to more than 1500 exciting, unusual and exotic animals in naturalistic settings within 32 acres of stunning parklands, the Blackpool Zoo is a haven for nature and wildlife enthusiasts.

Newest addition Amazonia, is an enclosure visitors can enter to get up close and personal with some of Blackpool zoo’s inhabitants.  Find yourself face to face with many monkeys and free flying birds as they make their home in their Amazon inspired rainforest habitat.

Regular talks on many of Blackpool Zoo’s animals, as well as the popular feeding sessions are included in the daily entrance fee, and will really enhance the visit of any child or grown up. 

A miniature train is on hand to take you across the vast parkland and travels through mature woods and past some of the exciting animal enclosures.

The Dinosaur Safari takes you on a magical tour back in time, to when the most mysterious of creatures ruled the planet.  Children will be fascinated by this journey back through millions of years, and will learn how these amazing reptiles evolved and then suddenly disappeared from the face of the earth, before discovering how man evolved, 65 million years later.

Don’t miss the Dino Lightshow on Friday and Saturday evenings during the Blackpool Illuminations.  The entire attraction is illuminated, as part of Blackpool’s Festival of Light and visitors can enjoy a special night time exploration of this prehistoric land.
